3 DIYs for BACK TO SCHOOL – video

Soo… with school being just around the corner, I decided it’s time to do it – it’s time to post my first DIY video, which I’m obsessed over. Not gonna lie, it’s also a video that I’ve been trying to procrastinate… Overall, summer ends, school starts, it’s a pretty nostalgic moment.

Buuuut, let’s see what I’ve crafted:

Who would wanna write in a shitty boring notebook? No one, trust me. The struggle not to rip those pages off your notebook is already big, also, imagine it with a dreadful cover… No need to worry, I got you covered!

For this DIY you’ll need:

  • a notebook
  • a plastic cover (it’s better if you wanna reuse it when your notebook ends)
  • scissors
  • self-adhesive foil (I used one for furniture)

You’ll first want to measure your notebook, then cut a piece of your self-adhesive foil. I went for an A5 notebook this time. You have to be very careful when you remove the paper off your foil, because you want to do it slowly to avoid misguiding it or making any air bubbles. Once you’re done, cut the excess foil off your cover’s margins. And tah-daah, you have a cool, personalized notebook cover! (more in the video)

Ever wondered how to make stickers if you’re on a budget? Here I am to share it with you now. It’s a great method whether you use it for name labels, groovy stickers or anything you want to have glued to something!

For this DIY you’ll need:

  • laptop
  • printer
  • scissors
  • scotch tape
  • baking paper

Start off by creating a design for your label, I used Microsoft Word for it. Print it and cut it out. Prepare a piece of baking paper and cut some scotch tape, at least as long and wide as your printed label. Place the tape directly on the baking paper, it will peel off nicely once you finish the steps. Over the first piece of tape, place your label. Then, secure it with a second piece of tape of the same size as the previous. Make sure that the two pieces of tape connect, otherwise your label won’t be secured. Cut out the label, making sure you leave a 0.5cm margin, to allow the pieces of tape to touch. (more in the video)

Have you ever looked for the perfect affordable pencil/makeup case and simply couldn’t find it? Well, it happened to me for way too many times so I decided to make one myself!

For this DIY you’ll need:

  • fabric/foam material
  • a zipper
  • needle & thread/sewing machine

This is the most complicated DIY that I’m gonna show you today because it requires some other skills like sewing – so you’d better learn it, girl! Never know when it’s gonna be helpful. Starting off with cutting out the fabric that you’ll be needing, check if the zipper fits it. Sew the zipper on, and then the edges. I recommend you do all that by hand in case you’re using a foam material, just as I did. (more in the video)
